Greater than a decade in the past, two creative minds teamed up and launched the Starmus Competition, a world celebration of science and music. Its creators, astronomer Garik Israelian and astronomer/musician Brian Could, envisioned every week wherein anybody might simply attend talks by a number of the biggest minds on the planet.
I need to share this video of the sixth Starmus Festival, not too long ago held in Yerevan, Armenia, to indicate the unbelievable and distinctive contents of this magical science pageant. Talks by astronaut-explorers, Nobel Prize winners, astronomers, chemists, biologists, and lots of extra highlighted an outstanding week like no different. We had greater than 50 audio system altogether.
We placed on a star celebration at a 1,900-year-old Greco-Roman Temple. We held an astroimaging workshop for individuals who need to seize their very own portraits of the evening sky. We shared the great thing about the cosmos with an enviornment crowd of 5,000 and likewise throughout town, with many hundreds of delighted residents. And we placed on a number of exhibits that turned up the warmth with some superb rock ‘n‘ roll.
On behalf of the Starmus Board — Garik Israelian, Brian Could, Richard Dawkins, Jill Tarter, Emmanuelle Charpentier, Peter Gabriel, Tony Fadell, Robert Williams, and me — I need to prolong an awesome massive thanks for this Starmus expertise, and an invite to Starmus sooner or later.
I ask you to remain tuned for some thrilling developments to come back.
