Firefly declares Alpha rocket launch success despite satellites falling back to Earth



Firefly Aerospace claims the latest launch of its Alpha rocket was a hit, regardless of its three satellite payloads reentering the ambiance simply days later.

The second flight of the 95-foot-tall (29 meters) Alpha rocket passed off on Oct. 1, lifting off from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base and efficiently inserting three satellites into low Earth orbit.
