James Webb images get X-ray boost from Chandra data

Not since Hubble’s heyday has a space telescope captured our curiosity — or our information cycle — fairly just like the James Webb House Telescope (JWST). And a few of its newest images aren’t any exception.

After months of calibrations, JWST released its first images this summer season, with pictures of Stephan’s Quintet, the Cartwheel Galaxy, SMACS 0723.3–7327, and the Carina Nebula’s Cosmic Cliffs. Now, after teaming up with NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, JWST’s early pictures have already obtained a facelift. By including X-ray information to JWST’s infrared observations, astronomers are in a position to study extra in regards to the exercise in areas JWST wasn’t in a position to discover.
